Camil \u00a0– On-U mix<\/p>\n

ON-U Sound este labelul format la inceputul anilor ’80 in jurul lui Adrian Sherwood si reprezinta pentru mine referinta nr. 1 in materie de dub si stiluri inrudite. De-a lungul timpului, soundul On-U s-a dezvoltat asimiland influente punk, new wave, industrial si chiar house, meritul enorm al lui Adrian Sherwood (pe langa geniul de producator) fiind acela de a fi adus laolalta o comunitate artistica eclectica si extrem de productiva, incepand cu veterani ai traditiilor Roots (ca Lee “Scratch” Perry, Bim Sherman sau Prince Far I) trecand prin (post-)punk (Mark Stewart & Maffia, Playgroup, P.I.L) si terminand cu inovatori inclasificabili precum Gary Clail.
\nFuziunea creativa dintre dub\/reggae si punk nu este ceva surprinzator daca privim spre Anglia anilor 80. De la The Clash la Killing Joke, mai toti punkistii de renume au cochetat cu reverburile jamaicane, in spiritul vremii. Insa parerea mea este ca soundul creat de Adrian Sherwood ramane neegalat, cel putin la nivel de consistenta.
\nAvem deci in desfasurator mesaje puternice cu tenta politica, tensiune perfect temperata in rata reverbului, inovatie cat cuprinde si, overall, un rafinament al productiei care ilustreaza valoarea unui intreg grup si puterea fuziunii. Fusion Dub Power!
\nPentru toate aceste motive, mi-a fost destul de greu sa reduc numarul pieselor selectate; calitatea ON-U este una extrem de constanta; intr-un final am inchegat un mix de 2 ore si un pic. Mai important este insa ca labelul si-a reluat activitatea in ultimii ani, iar eu unul sper la un showcase cat de curand, undeva pe meleagurile nostre :)<\/p>\n
