Alexandru Jijian: Dragii nostri, cam asta a fost la Sunday Scoop cand au venit sa ne incante Rusu, Flore si Alexandra. Ne bucuram sincer ca artistii care vin ne arata ce frumoasa e viata, vin relaxati iar despre minunatul auditoriu in care includem si multi parinti cu bebe la plimbare nici nu mai povestesc. Au mai ramas 3 editii in care ne putem vedea: duminica aceasta (15.08.2010) cu HJK si Dragos Rusu / next week cu BOGMAN/SLEEK/ HASSMOJAZZ (URAAAAA!!!!) si in ultima editie avem ceva special dar nu mai tin minte acum exact ce :). Sa va iubiti!
Ion va lansa un EP la Local Records, in septembrie. Mixul de mai jos se potriveste foarte bine cu viitorul release in materie de atmosfera, emotii si poveste. Dupa cum spune artistul, “mixul este loose, coborat ca agitatie si bpm, dar cert intr-o stare emotionala intensa. Early and not so early electro, ceva rock depresiv din anii 80, anii sumbrii ai lui Reagan si Thatcher, cateva interventii personale dar in general o selectie ce contine cativa monstrii profani ai muzicii in general. Stand up and enjoy the electric trip!”

Lucian Stefanescu: A fox cub jumped in front of our bicycles, uphill in a forest in the Moravian Highlands. Nice long ears, thick furry tail, with a white tip. It stopped and stared at us for a moment, then jumped away in the woods.
Petra claims it was the fifth time in her life she saw a fox (She lived in England for some time). Mine was only the third, although foxes often made intrusive appearances in the poems I’ve written in my twenties.
This mix is dedicated to that fox cub in the Moravian Highlands.

Lucian Stefanescu speaking: There is no such thing like electronic music, or any other kind of music. There are only a billion more than seven colours combined with breath, breed and beyond. In everyone’s head, limbs, entrails. Colours that you eat, breathe, sweat, defecate, bleed. Colours that you skin. Colours that you speak. Colours with corporeal bodies, heavy as bricks of small feathers (I got this succession of words – bricks of feathers – as a present from Francois Pamfil, and this is why this mix is actually dedicated to him, wherever he may be now).
Pontone’s Special Guest: Simon Reynolds – Eldritchtronica and Wyrd Bliss Mixtape
“When Pontone asked if I fancied coming up with a mixtape of favorites from the last decade, I thought “that could get pretty motley”. So I focused on a particular sound-stream: “eldritchtronic”, a non-existent genre that cuts across a bunch of zones (hauntology, the trippier end of microhouse, hypnagogic/glo-fi, the Brooklyn school of “ecstatic experimental”, etc). Mostly electronic but rarely intersecting with the dancefloor, this music merges blissy and eerie, the wired and the wyrd. And because the 2000s was when the linear temporality of music definitively dissolved, there’s leakage from the remote past, musique concrete and text-sound by artists I encountered for the first time during the Noughties. The selection was by me; Pontone assembled and sequenced (expertly–only thing I’d change would be to have “Chronometer” emerge out of “Fizheuer” Zieheuer”… try it, you’ll see what I’m getting at). But I did ask for the Ariel Pink song to go last, as that has special meaning.” Simon Reynolds
